Easy-to-manage universal platform is required to develop robots for everyday housework, for using by disability persons, etc. To create such platform prototype was the project’s goal. Special (distribution) gearbox is installed and put into practice in the platform prototype in order to use motors that move driving wheels to perform other (additional) functions. The system of gears provides transmission both to driving wheels and equipment (manipulators). The advantages of using distribution gearbox are reduced number of motors, less weight and energy needed to move the platform. It is equipped with the voice recognition tool allowing to use voice commands in off-line mode. Microcomputer, respective operating system and also written by me software are used to provide the platform control.
